Children's Choice Book Award/Prix littéraire - le choix de jeunes

Come along on the trip of a lifetime as Guy, his little sister Rachel and their parents set off on a car trip to discover each corner of this great country of ours! Through Guy's travel journal, we see Canada through his eyes, and also share all of the fun of a typical family car trip. We get to read the postcards (and e-mails!) sent back to friends along the way and extra "fact bars" on the pages provide extra information. Each page is a visual treat, with lots of photos and drawings giving the flavour of each place visited as well as providing a humorous record of all the "stuff" one accumulates on a long car trip - including potato chips, shells and raspberries! Guy is a tour guide with a great sense of humour, providing the reader with informative lists at different stops along the way of such things as the "exceedingly weird" and "food I was introduced to for my own good". His little cartoons and notes add to the fun. From Nunavut to Nova Scotia and all of the provinces and territories in between, this is a trip you wont want to miss! You'll want to read Wow Canada! just for fun, but in between giggles you will learn a lot about this great country of ours!
