Children's Choice Book Award/Prix littéraire - le choix de jeunes

They're stars - Amazing Women Athletes from the past and today, whose determination inspires and challenges. Here are stories of champions who demonstrate the wonderful accomplishments of women in sport all over the world.

Like Fabulous Female Physicians, another in the Women's Hall of Fame Series, this collection features ten women athletes from Canada and around the world beginning with our own, and mostly forgotten Olympian, Bobbi Rosenberg - considered by many experts as this country's most accomplished female athlete of the first half-century. Other amazing women athletes include a mountain climber, a skater, and formerly disabled women who became champion runners and riders.

Jill Bryant loves to write for both young people and adults. One of her books is about cooking in the wilderness. She lives in Halifax with her husband and two daughters.
