2005 Hackmatack

Children's Choice Book Award/Prix littéraire - le choix de jeunes

Orbiting 220 miles above Earth, the International Space Station is a technological marvel and a remarkable symbol of the advances that are being made through peaceful cooperation. Thanks to the combined efforts of sixteen countries worldwide, this permanent orbiting laboratory will provide all of humanity with research into new technologies, and will allow us a dazzling glimpse into the future.

This book was shortlisted for the 2004 Silver Birch Award and the 2003 Best Bets Award from the Ontario Library Association.
